CONFIDENTIALITY STATEMENT
Our sessions and their content are confidential to us. I will not normally disclose any information from or about you to anyone else, unless I have reason to believe that someone, especially a child, is at serious risk of harm or to prevent a miscarriage of justice.
I will discuss any proposed disclosure with you unless I believe that to do so could increase the level of risk to you or to someone else.
I may also discuss your case with my supervisor and the same levels of confidentiality are also applied.
To preserve confidentiality, if I were to see you outside of our sessions, I won't acknowledge you unless you acknowledged me.
DATA PROTECTION GDPR STATEMENT
In line with Data Protection Act 1998 and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) implemented by EU, this statement aims to outline the legitimate interest in obtaining, retaining and processing of your personal and confidential data and obtain your consent to do this.
This data comprises of personal details such as name, surname, date of birth, contact details, GP details, gender, history, therapy history and current circumstances. Your personal data and assessment is stored by me securely with password protection. Equally, any client notes obtained and processed by me are anonymised and held securely as required by the GDPR. I will be retaining your data for 7 years after our last contact.
All your data has been and will be treated strictly confidentially and will not be shared with third parties without your consent unless there is immediate concern of harm to self or harm to others as defined by Safeguarding regulations for adults and children, or a threat for terrorism or money laundering.
I will need to share some of your data in Clinical Supervision as required by the regulatory body I am accredited by. This is to allow consultation processes regarding the best possible methods of treatment of you in our work together.
